This family garden is set within a L shaped modern barn. The large trees provided a beautiful shady area for the BBQs and alfresco dining. However the large evergreen holm oak created a very dry shady area which was a challenge to plant under. A woodland style planting was achieved with appropriate plants and tied this bed to the rest of the garden. Beds filled with spring and autumn bulb add colour to the herbaceous borders. Structural planting provide a focus during winter months.
