TOWN GARDEN CAMBRIDGE

The Front garden of this Victorian terrace house in North of the city was laid to gravel mainly.  The clients wanted a low maintenance front garden with some privacy from the road.

This was achieved by creating a bed around the bay window in front and a geometrically propertied topiary bed in the  middle with buxus balls. The low espaliered  fruit trees  softened the edge and were perfect foil for the low wall.  They provided privacy from the dustbins and the road and delicious plums and damsons through out summer.

For the back garden we carried through the buxus balls to tie the front and the back garden. Exotic planting provided drama to the back garden.  In Spring time tulips fill the beds with their colour and variety of shapes.
